Hollywood’s luminaries graced the red carpet in the Beverly Hilton Hotel California for the 81st Golden Globes Awards in recognition of the best in movies and TV from 2023. Celebrities attended the event with classy, audacious looks, unafraid to experiment with bold and bizarre ensembles. Here are some of the best outfits we saw at the Golden Globe Awards 2024.
Selena Gomez confidently donned a luminous dress custom-made by Armani Priv. The outfit was a metallic red gown with chest cutouts adorned with black floral appliqués. The asymmetrical skirt, reaching knee-length on one side and almost brushing the floor on the other, added an extra layer of flair. Gomez complemented the outfit with diamond jewelry and an elegant updo hairstyle.
Julia Garner sparkled in a silver Gucci gown with a barely-there bodice, adorned all over with sequins, two chest-covering straps, and a straight, floor-length skirt. The outfit was nicely complemented with small gold earrings and a matching bangle.
Meanwhile, Andra Day wore a glamorous Georges Chakra asymmetrical dress. The black gown had a single strap with a floral embellishment, a sheer layer over a black bodysuit, and a skirt that cascaded into a slender train along the floor. Day completed her red carpet look with pointy pumps, mesh gloves, and sparkling diamond accessories.
Dua Lipa went for a Schiaparelli design, donning a black dress with gold trimmings resembling bones. The strapless outfit had a velvet form-fitting bodice and a wide matte skirt, designed with bone-shaped gold and diamond pieces mirroring the human skeleton. Lipa complemented the look with a gold-toned diamond necklace.
Utkarsh Ambudkar showed up at the Golden Globe in a cool suit designed with a quilted metallic silver shade. The piece was paired with a black shirt, a bow tie, and silver fringe shoes, creating this eye-catching look. Utkarsh Ambudkar golden globes 2024.
Lenny Kravitz brought a bold detail to his tuxedo, choosing instead to go shirtless under the blazer with a small cutout across the hip. Paired with round, oversized sunglasses, silver rings, and leather boots, Kravitz’s outfit was a loud statement piece.
Kate Beckinsale dazzled in a silver bodysuit with shorts, decorated with silver sequins and a see-through tulle skirt. The outfit was paired with sparkling wristbands, diamond jewelry, and an updo hairstyle.
Greta Lee’s cream-colored gown, tied with a massive bow at the front with a solid bodice and flowing skirt was a stunning sight. The back was a backless design with a giant knot forming a loose bow, that added a touch of sophistication.
Issa Rae wore one of the most colorful outfits of the night; an orange, long-sleeved gown with sequins and an intricate geometric pattern. Rae’s Pamella Roland was paired with rings, hoop earrings, and a slicked-back hairstyle.
Karen Gillan’s black-and-white gown featured a swirling design that resembled scales across her skin, with cutouts across the chest, hips, and thighs.
Natasha Lyonne’s otherworldly strapless gown by Schiaparelli was a bodice with sharp points extending past her shoulders, crafted from a tan, textured fabric in short tiers.
Hannah Waddingham wore a lace gown with a corseted bodice, long sleeves, and a high neckline, accentuating her figure with a mermaid-style skirt that expanded at the knees.
Barry Keoghan’s red ensemble by Louis Vuitton caught our attention. He wore a white button-up top beneath a red checkered jacket and matching trousers. The look was accessorized with a diamond pin, a pearl necklace, and a ruby earring.
Jordana Brewster’s two-piece was a bold top, with a black, high-waisted skirt and a wide-cut, cutout crop top revealing the sides of her chest. Designed by Alberta Ferretti, the black-and-white outfit had a suit aesthetic with a button-up bodice, sharp collar, and buttons at the wrist, while its pleated skirt, thigh-high stockings, and see-through top added a bold edge.
Pom Klementieff’s gown was a hip-high slit that complemented the black-and-white Dolce & Gabbana outfit with a button-up bodice, sharp collar, and buttons at the wrist. The pleated skirt, thigh-high stockings, and see-through top made everything even more interesting for fellow red carpet guests.
Rosamund Pike’s strapless Dior dress with a corset bodice and full skirt covered in the same appliqués as the netted sleeves and neckpiece and a highlight of all the edginess we saw that evening. Pike styled the outfit with a black headpiece designed with a netted veil, a choice inspired by a recent ski accident.
