Fans have expressed their heartfelt concerns over Ariana Grande’s drastic weight loss following her recent viral London photos. A few Jpegs that broke the internet over the weekend showed her slender, almost bony frame that got everyone talking.
Ariana Grande has faced her share of agonizing personal and professional setbacks. While she was on a tour in Manchester for her concert on May 22, 2017, a suicide bomber detonated a homemade bomb at the Manchester Arena, killing 22 people and injuring 116 more. This unfortunate event shook the American pop star. And she subsequently struggled with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) from the Manchester bombing.
Also, back in September 2018 her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller died of an accidental drug overdose after downing a lethal mix of fentanyl, alcohol, and cocaine. Miller was a very talented American rapper and record producer up until his demise. Before his death, he released his fifth album, Swimming, and scheduled a tour that was to take place in October of that year.
So, what happened to Ariana Grande now?.
Despite experiencing these heartbreaking events and incidences in her life and career, Ariana Grande has shown nothing but remarkable resilience and strength. Ariana Grande stepped out on April 7 in a puffy hot pink coat, white shoulder bag, and her signature knee-high boots in white. Together with Cynthia Erivo, she headed out to support their co-star Jeff Goldblum at his concert at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club in London, England. Yet, her recent appearance drew concerns and speculations. Ariana Grande took to TikTok to react to demeaning remarks about her body.
Ariana Grande Responds To Trolls On TikTok
“I think we should be gentler and less comfortable commenting on people’s bodies no matter what. If you think you’re saying something good or well intentioned — whatever it is – healthy, unhealthy, big, small, this, that, sexy, not sexy — we just shouldn’t.”
She further said “I know I shouldn’t have to explain that, but I do feel like maybe having an openness and some sort of vulnerability here, good might come from it. I know personally, for me, the body that you’ve been comparing my current body to was the unhealthiest version of my body.”
Concerning her health, she affirmed she hasn’t felt her best lately. “I was on a lot of antidepressants and drinking on them and eating poorly, and at the lowest point of my life when I looked the way you consider my healthy, but that, in fact, wasn’t my healthy. There are many different ways to look healthy and beautiful. The second thing is you never know what someone is going through. So even if you’re coming from a loving place or a caring place, that person is probably working on it or has a support system that they’re working on it with.”
Finally, she added that “You never know, so be gentle with each other and yourselves. I think you’re beautiful. No matter what you’re going through, no matter what weight, no matter how you like to do your makeup these days, no matter what cosmetic procedures you’ve had or not or anything.”
